The Ill-tempered Klavier
This is a project that sprouted by chance but was nourished with much love, water and gratitude. Gratitude for the existence of J. S. Bach and his works, and for a wonderful counterpoint (and composition) professor Karl Kobylansky. Love of music itself; the writing, playing, listening and ultimately embodying. Water, for the dilution of my task. I would not compare myself with Bach, I chose a “lesser” work of an Invention rather than the more challenging and confounding fugue of which Bach was the master.
