The big boss man at Doug’s Music Channel is me.
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I am old enough to remember seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show on their first North American television appearance. My dream ever since has been to emulate those heady days.
In service of that dream I studied music at the unusually wet and grey and green Capliano College (as it was then named), and latterly, the ivy covered (and ivory towered) halls of the University of British Columbia School of Music. Along the way I had many musical experiences and met many a musical marvel and had many invaluable mentors..
Then, one day in 1994 I gave up all my dreams and began teaching music at Douglas College. Since that time, I have been leading the wayward astray, or, (depending on your vocabularic exigencies), teaching music and heading the composition division. It has been a rather fabulous journey so far.
In the off hours I like to write a bit of music and even make a few videos
